St. John's is the capitol, main city, and cruise ship port on the island of Antigua for Antigua and Barbuda.
For the most part, St. John's is a low-rise town with narrow crowded streets and many shops either converted from or added to residences.
The people we met were very nice and went out of their way to help us... it is quite obvious that tourism is the main source of income here.
Immediately adjacent to the cruise ship dock, the shops are modern and aimed at tourist trade.
As you would suspect, the further you go into town the more likely you will find the shops and residences of the local population.
